As a VUI & Benchmarking Designer at Cerence AI, you will shape next‑generation in‑car voice experiences, evaluating and benchmarking voice assistants, supporting user studies, and analyzing user behavior to design intuitive multimodal interactions for automotive and non‑automotive environments. Your role includes VUI design support (voice interactions, conversational flows, voice persona development, system responses, multimodal interaction design), non‑automotive product support (cross‑domain VUI/UX design, design consistency), benchmarking & competitive analysis (evaluate competitors, create benchmark reports with behavioral analysis and design implications), user testing & research execution (plan, support, conduct studies, collect & analyze qualitative & quantitative data), data analysis & reporting (translate findings into actionable insights, produce structured reports), and cross‑functional collaboration (work with product managers, UX designers, conversation designers, engineers, participate in design reviews).
