Under the direct supervision of the Streets Supervisor or Streets Equipment Operator, the Maintenance Worker I assists the division in maintaining and repairing the City’s streets, right-of-ways, and drainage system.

Performs construction and maintenance work associated with the installation, repair and maintenance of the city water and wastewater pipelines, mains, valves, meters, hydrants, and manholes.

Performs skilled construction and maintenance work associated with the City’s storm drainage system under the direction of the Equipment Operators and Supervisor.

Works under the supervision of the Fleet and Facilities Superintendent performing custodial care and maintenance of City buildings.

Works under the supervision of the Recreation Programmer II or designee in planning and implementing activities, classes, programs, and special events.
