Impulse Space is seeking an Opto-Mechanical Design Engineer Intern to support the development of precision optical systems for spacecraft. This role will focus on the mechanical design of optical assemblies, telescope structures, lens barrels, detector mounts, mirror mounts, baffles, pointing mechanisms, and alignment hardware for optical payloads.

As a Software Infrastructure and Release Intern your core responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain our spacecraft flight software and ground software deployment environments. You will work closely with software and GNC engineers to plan out and implement an automated deployment and test system for a variety of spacecrafts and test platforms.

As an Antenna Engineering Intern at Impulse, your core responsibility will be to support design, test, and integration of antenna systems for spacecraft communication systems and GNSS receivers. You will work with antenna engineers, RF engineers, avionics electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and others to develop performant and maintainable solutions.

As a Welding Engineering Intern , you will work alongside our Welding, Manufacturing, Design, and Materials Engineering teams to develop, test, and improve welding processes used to build spacecraft and propulsion systems. You will gain hands-on experience supporting weld development, testing, and production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

As a Thermal Engineering Intern at Impulse, you will support thermal management of spacecraft from concept, analysis, and design, to implementation, testing, and flight while working closely with a fast-paced, agile team that strives to make a high-performance spacecraft from a clean sheet design.

As a Ground Software Intern , your core responsibility will be to write software that enables efficient command, telemetry, and control of spacecraft. You will collaborate closely with flight software engineers, GNC, and mission operators, to automate operations workflows, build intuitive UIs, and develop reliable backend services.

As an EMC Engineering Intern , your core responsibility will be to support electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) Engineering workflows. You will collaborate closely with RF, Avionics, Mechanical, and Software Engineers to test, troubleshoot and report findings of electromagnetic performance on various products.

As a Space Operations Engineer Intern at Impulse Space, you'll support real-world spacecraft missions by assisting with the planning, development, and testing of mission operations. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers on a variety of tasks ranging from simulation support to test execution and procedure development.

As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern , you will work across all aspects of manufacturing and assembling spacecraft components, taking them from development test articles to high volume production, while working along side a fast-paced, agile team. *This internship is 12 weeks long from May/June through August/September 2027*

As a Tooling/Ground Support Engineering Intern , you will support the design, development, and implementation of tooling, fixturing, and ground support equipment for high-performance spacecraft. You will work closely with a fast-paced, agile team developing spacecraft and test systems from clean sheet designs.

As an RF Engineering Intern , your core responsibility will be to design, manufacture and test custom RF systems. You will work with RF engineers, avionics engineers, software engineers, and mechanical engineers.

As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern , you will work across all aspects of manufacturing and assembling Helios components, taking them from development test articles to high volume production, while working alongside a fast-paced, agile team.

As a Dynamics Engineering Intern , you will support the team responsible for determining and validating loads and dynamic environments for vehicles and component subsystems. You will work closely with engineers across structures, propulsion, GNC, and test to understand how the vehicle responds to dynamic environments throughout its lifecycle.

As an AI&T Engineering Intern , you will work across all of the engineering teams in the company to efficiently build and test a reliable and high-performance spacecraft. For this opportunity, you could be working on one of the following teams: Automation & Controls, Integration, Development Test, or Test Automation.

As a Flight/Embedded Software Intern , your core responsibility will be to write embedded code on custom avionics hardware for executing ground test and flight functions. You will work with avionics hardware engineers, propulsion engineers, GNC engineers, and others.

As an Information Technology Intern, Service Delivery , you will work directly with the IT Service Delivery team to support day-to-day operations across the company — from user support and hardware deployment to network troubleshooting and infrastructure projects. As a Vehicle Engineering Intern , you will work on spacecraft development projects while working closely with a fast-paced, agile team that strives to make a high-performance spacecraft from a clean sheet design.

As an Information Security Intern , you will gain hands-on experience in the daily operations of a security program supporting a highly regulated, mission-critical environment. You will work alongside experienced security engineers and analysts on real projects involving security monitoring, policy implementation, vulnerability management, and compliance initiatives.

As an RF Test Engineering Intern , you will support the development, automation, and execution of RF test systems used to validate spacecraft communication hardware and integrated RF subsystems. This role is heavily focused on test automation, lab bring-up, and data-driven validation of RF hardware in fast-paced development environments.

As a Propulsion Engineering Intern at Impulse Space, you will work on propulsion development projects while working closely with a fast-paced, agile team that strives to make a high-performance spacecraft from a clean sheet design.
