The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Equipment Support maintenance equipment; light and heavy vehicles on assigned projects or activities of a public works nature.

The fundamental purpose of this position is to receive all incoming calls for Police and Fire assistance and dispatch necessary units to calls, utilizing Computer Aided Dispatch software.

Operate medium to large-sized equipment, including backhoe, loader, bulldozer, and track hoe, to install or repair underground utilities and drive/load a dump truck.

The equipment Operator II works as part of a construction crew and reports directly to the Crew Leader.
